Pine Republic Times Drought Conditions Continue The Environmental Protection Agency says they're likely to extend the drought warning for Jackson, Hawthorne, and Cleburne, until August 10th. The conditions outside remain dry, and hazardous for outside work during the hours of 1:00-6:00. However, President and Chief Meteorologist David Shannon says that afternoon thunderstorms that pop up can dump up to an inch of rain or more at times, which guarantees healthy crops in the fields. The President urges that those outside for extended periods of time wear loose, lightly colored clothing and drink plenty of water or gatorade like beverages.
Pine Republic Radio? What's to come?
The Pine Republic's Government, in particular President Shannon, has expressed desires to create a radio station for its citizens, and for the world. However, the government has no idea what the proper way to do it via the internet is. The President has asked all citizens, or other internet users who have knowledge to suggest a proper medium for such a thing. Miscellaneous The President will be conducting military drill sometime soon with the army. - Office hours for the Pine Republic's Government office have been extended to 10:00 PM EST until August 8th, 2016. The current times for the office are from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The new changes are effective July 25th, 2016. - This is the first newspaper that will be posted on the Microwiki page, for commenting and viewing for a large audience.

The Pine Republic Times Breaking News: Pine Republic to relinquish diplomatic relations with other micronations due to operation Megacat. This past week, the micronational government of the Democratia of New Starland launched what they call a "State of Conflict" with the Kingdom of Shorewell. The conflict comes after the DNS launched an operative to release four other micronations from the control of Shorewell. While the results are disputed by both nations, The Pine Republic has remained neutral in the conflict. Due to the conflict, however, President David Shannon announced that unless certain circumstances prevail, there will be no effort to establish diplomatic relations with any other micronationalist state in the near future. He also noted that he wants the issue to "be behind us as we press on, and to not dwell on these most recent incidents.
Pine Republic TimesBreaking News: Pine Republic considers foreign relations with Shorewell Much to the surprise of the citizens of The Pine Republic, the mainly independent nation of ours is considering its first diplomatic relationship with the nation of Shorewell. President David Shannon announced this new endeavor this afternoon to the press. "This is a new age for the Pine Republic, one in which we will enter diplomatic relations with other micronations, and remain stronger together, while still protecting our own independence and uniqueness." The Pine Republic Times asked the President if any other foreign relations will persist with other nations as well, to which he replied that there are "several countries of interest" that the Pine Republic may also align with. The people of the Pine Republic are generally in support of this new endeavor, although some speculate that this new "era" the President speaks of may be the root of our own demise. The two major factions in the Pine Republic appear to be Isolationists and those who wish to branch out. Shorewell and the Pine Republic hope to continue to aid in the cause for micronationalism.
Pine Republic TimesState of Cleburne Downgraded to a Territory The Office of the Presidency of the Pine Republic announced the State of Cleburne, located in Cobb County Georgia, would be downgraded to a Territory. The Press Release from the President says the reason for this change is due to the lack of population and governmental structure. It also noted that the change would not affect the people of the State of Jackson and Hawthorne. A territorial government has not been named, so it is assumed that the Territory will fall under jurisdiction of the federal government. The Press Release comes after a visit to the territory by the President this week.
Rumors: What's to Believe?
There have been rumors circulating that the Pine Republic may dissolve, to form a new County in Georgia instead. However, there have been no indications from the Federal Government that such a thing could occur in the near future. |
