The Land of the Pine Republic
The Pine Republic is a micronation that sits on Georgia land. Georgia has a temperate climate in the Northern Mountains, where the Appalachian Mountains meets the Piedmont. The summers are hot and humid, and the winter is dry and cold. Occasionally, we get snowfall and freezing rain in the winter, but our wettest seasons range from March to May and from September to November. Spring and Fall are our transition seasons, (Fall, or Autumn, being our favorite) while the Summer and Winter hold our most extreme temperatures.
The land around the Pine Republic is full of history as well. For thousands of years, the Cherokee Indians have called this land home. The memory of these people are celebrated every year in the country. Not long after their removal, a Civil War between North and South had exploded in the United States of America, pinning Confederates against Federals. The Atlanta Campaign was fought in the land where the Pine Republic sits. Every year, the Pine Republic honors both sides with Veteran's Day in November, and Confederate Memorial Day in April.

The Loblolly Pine is what the Pine Republic gets its name from. These tall, strong, long living trees are native to the area and provide the borders of our tiny nation.
